
To achieve the goals of the ProCyD project, the tasks have been split into various workpackages.
WP 1: Project management and coordination
An internal network of privacy-conscious communication and collaboration tools was established. This includes this website, a portugese one, a shared Nextcloud, and mailing lists. The project was initiated via a kick off meeting. A quality management board was established along with reporting templates
WP 2: Requirement analysis
Work Package 2 successfully analyzed course development requirements through a questionnaire, with findings summarized in a deliverable. Additionally, a structured template for the module handbook was created and finalized.
WP 3: Accreditation
Accreditation of the degrees to be established is still ongoing.
WP 4: Development of basic course and training of teachers
The basic course has been renamed to “awareness course”. A content selection and description has been completed. Furthermore, a anit about digital transformation and an online course for training of lecturers have been finished. In total, 13 lectures have been completed with slides in Portuguese. Lectures for second block course are currently being prepared
WP 5: Training activities
The workpackage is successfully completed after creating two block courses with corresponding materials, two summer schools focused on educating and enabling teachers and holding a workshop on online materials.
WP 6: Teaching basic course
WP 7: Pilot MSc programme – exchange to MU
A pilot master’s program was launched to develop local specialists and promote sustainable project impact, including international semesters at Masaryk University in Czechia. Despite some visa-related delays, 12 candidates were selected, supported through online and in-person training, and the program is progressing, with some students now preparing their master’s theses and seven more about to join.

WP 11: Impact and dissemination
A project website has been created. ProCyD was presented at the Regional Erasmus+ Week 2024 for Sub-Saharan Africa (online) in June and at the DAAD Network Meeting of African Excellence Centres in Cape Town in November 2024.
