From 25–28 November 2024, the DAAD Network Meeting of the Centres of African Excellence took place in Cape Town, South Africa, bringing together project partners from across the continent and Germany to reflect on 15 years of collaboration and explore the future of equitable and sustainable academic partnerships.

As part of this event, Dr. Elke Franz, Project Coordinator of ProCyD (A Modular Higher Education System in Data Protection and Cybersecurity), presented our project as a practice example under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme. The session focused on how ProCyD supports digital transformation in Mozambique and South Africa through modular, practice-oriented education in critical areas such as data protection and cybersecurity.

We are grateful to our project partners and the DAAD for the opportunity to share our experience and to learn from the Centres of African Excellence.
